Vijayveer Sidhu Paris Olympic 2024
Vijayveer Sidhu is an Indian sports shooter. He won a bronze medal in the men’s 25-meter rapid-fire pistol team event at the 2022 Asian Games. She secured an Olympic quota berth for the Paris Olympics in the 25m rapid fire by winning a silver medal at the Asian Olympic Qualifiers in Jakarta on 13 January 2024.
Young Indian shooter Vijayveer Sidhu moved to Chandigarh with his family at an early age. Born in Punjab, this sports shooter started practicing the sport at the age of eleven. Sidhu took professional training from his coach DS Chandel. Sidhu competed at the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China in 2023 and won a bronze medal in the men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol team event along with Anish Bhanwala and Adarsh Singh.
This was also India’s first medal in this event at the Asian Games. His brother Udayveer Sidhu (shooting) also represents India at the international level. Last year, at the World University Games Summer in Chengdu, People’s Republic of China, the twin brothers along with Adarsh Singh won a silver medal in the men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol team event.
