Plumbing Project Manager Responsibilities
- Manages project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope
- Manages and motivates foreman, field technicians, and office administration, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment
- Quotes customers based on site visits and information from field technicians
- Tracks project milestones and deliverables
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Creates and manages project budgets
- Monitors and controls project expenses, tracking costs against the budget
- Establishes and executes a project communication plan
- Assigns duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel
- Stays informed about and ensures compliance with relevant plumbing codes, regulations, and standards
- Obtains necessary permits and approvals for the project
- Tracks and closes out permits to ensure jobs are closed out efficiently
- Identifies and addresses issues or conflicts within the project team promptly
- Implements and enforces quality control processes to ensure work meets company standards and client expectations
- Ensures that the client’s needs and expectations are met or exceeded
- Acts as the primary point of contact between the company and the client
- Stays informed about industry advancements and shares relevant information with the team
- Finds new opportunities to grow sales selling projects to both new and existing customers
Plumbing Project Manager Qualifications
- At least 3 years experience in Plumbing Contracting including quotations experience
- Must be familiar with NYC DOB Plumbing Code and permitting process
- Ability to manage multiple jobs at one time
- Leadership experience in managing and working with others
- Valid Driver’s License to operate company vehicles
