Kelsey was born on October 5, 1989, in Westlake, Ohio. His father Ed Kelsey is a former sales representative in the steel industry, and his mother Donna is a former bank executive. Kelce’s older brother, Jason, played center for the Philadelphia Eagles for 13 seasons.

He co-hosts the podcast New Heights with his brother Jason, which covers topics ranging from football to popular culture. Kelce’s relationship with singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has received widespread media coverage and has led to increased viewership and revenue for her team and her league.
Kelsey graduated with a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree in 2022. She received her diploma with her brother Jason during an April 2024 podcast event at the Fifth Third Arena.
