Sutirtha Mukherjee Indian Table Tennis Player

She was registered as an athlete born on 10 October 1997 and became eligible to compete at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, which qualified athletes born between 1996 and 1999. The Central Bureau of Investigation started an investigation in 2014 against several table tennis players on charges of participating in underage competitions by submitting fake age records.

Mukherjee represented India and began winning titles at ITTF junior events in 2012. Following an investigation into the matter in 2016, the Table Tennis Federation of India banned Mukherjee for one year for falsifying age records.

In 2018, Mukherjee won the women’s singles title at the Senior National Table Tennis Championships in India and was part of the Indian women’s team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Sutirtha Mukherjee is an Indian table tennis player from Naihati, West Bengal. She won the National Table Tennis Championship and was also part of the Indian women’s team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Mukherjee also represented India at the 2020 Summer Olympics and 2022 Asian Games. She won a bronze medal for India in women’s doubles table tennis at the 2022 Asian Games. India’s top-seeded women’s doubles pair  Sutirtha Mukherjee secured a historic medal by reaching the semi-finals of the Asian Table Tennis Championships 2024 in Astana, Kazakhstan on Saturday.
