Sun TV Television Channel
SAN TV The flagship channel of SAN TV network was launched on Tamil New Year on 14 April 1993. A time-sharing program began with the launch of a daily four-and-a-half hour program with Eighteen, India’s first independent television channel, which had anchored the podcast offering on Zee TV.
In January 1997, Petra began broadcasting 24 hours a day. An official signing for the ST Teleport in Singapore in 1995. Singapore Cable Vision added the channel on 1 October 1996. Sun TV is an Indian Tamil-language general entertainment pay television channel owned by Sun TV Network. It was launched on 14 April 1993.
It is the flagship channel of Sun TV Network of Chennai-based media conglomerate Sun Group. It was founded and owned by Kalanithi Maran. It began airing on Open Network (Antenna) on 14 July 2002 at the time of the premiere of the Tamil film “Majunu”. Then in 2005, this open network was removed. It was also removed from free on November 9, 2007.
Sun TV launched its HD version on 11 December 2011. Since its inception, the channel has consistently remained one of the top Tamil channels and top music Indian television channels. Sain TV also hosts many film industry-related programs and the Sain Kudumbam Awards ceremony every two years.
