Subhash Ghai is an Indian film director, producer, actor, writer, music director, and screenwriter, known primarily for his work in Hindi cinema. He was one of the most prominent and successful actors in Hindi cinema in the 80s and 90s.

Most of his films are revered or classic gems by Indians, At the Cannes International Film Festival in May 2018, Ghai announced that he was co-producing a monologue on Osho creators in collaboration with an Italian production house. This film will be directed by Lakshan Sukameli. As of 2016, he has written and directed a total of 16 films. Currently, he is also on the Advisory Board of the International Movement of India in the United Nations (AAI).
