Soman Rana Paris Paralympic 2024
Rana is from Shillong, Meghalaya. He is working as a Havildar in the Indian Army. They undergo training at the Army Paralympic Node at BEG and Centre, Kirkee, Pune. He lost his right leg in a mine explosion in December 2006. Rana finished fourth at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Earlier, he represented India in the men’s shot put F56/57 at the Dubai 2019 World Para Athletics Championships. In 2021 he won the gold medal at the Tunis World Para Athletics Grand Prix. He won a silver medal at the 2022 Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China.
Soman Rana is an Indian para-athlete from Meghalaya. He competes in the men’s shot put F57. He qualified to represent India at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, his second Olympics. He is currently endorsed by OGQ.
