Robotaxi By Tesla
Tesla has been hyping up the Robotaxi, its first fully autonomous vehicle, for a while now. Elon Musk originally planned to reveal the self-driving car in August but the “We, Robot” event is now scheduled to take place in the United States on October 10 at 7 PM PT, meaning users living in India will be able to watch it on October 11 at 7:30 AM.
While nothing is certain at the moment, speculations suggest that the Robotaxi will be named “Cybercab” and may take inspiration from the company’s Cybertruck. At the event, we may also see a prototype of the new vehicle. Last year, in Walter Isaacson’s biography of Elon Musk, the Tesla executive revealed a two-door two-seater Cybertruck-like compact vehicle with sharp edges and a stainless steel finish, which may be the Robotaxi.
Reports also suggest that the vehicle won’t have a steering wheel or pedals. While Tesla may be excited about the launch, the Cybercab may run into trouble with regulatory bodies in the United States as its design may not comply with federal motor safety standards.
