Parul Chaudhary Paris Olympic 2024
Chaudhary is a resident of a village near Meerut. He is one of four children of Krishnapal Chaudhary and Rajesh Devi. Parul used to run barefoot as a teenager and has been participating in the 800-meter race at her school since 2011. She competed in the 1500 meters and 3000 meters, then moved up to the 5000 meters and competed professionally in the latter event. This helped him get a job in Western Railways when he came to Mumbai in 2015.
Parul Chaudhary Jhajj is an Indian athlete from Uttar Pradesh, who specializes in the 5000 meters and 3000 meters steeplechase. She is the first Indian runner to complete the race in less than 9 minutes in the women’s 3000-meter race.
In July 2023, Chaudhary won the gold medal in the women’s 3000-meter steeplechase at the Asian Athletics Championships held in Bangkok. ]In August, at the World Athletics Championships held in Budapest, he recorded a personal best time and national record with a timing of 9:15.31 in the 3000 meters steeplechase, in the process, qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics. At the Hangzhou Asian Games in October 2023, she won gold in the 5000 m event and silver in the 3000 m steeplechase.
