Pankaj Kumar Indian Cinematographer
He received his education from the Film and Television Institute of India. He completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hakimpet, Secunderabad in 1993. Pankaj Kumar is an Indian cinematographer. He is known for his work in films like Haider, Tumbbad, and Ship of Theseus. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Cinematography for Tumbbad in 2019. He made his debut with Ship of Theseus (2012) and followed it with Haider (2014), Talwar (2015) and Rangoon (2017).
Pankaj Kumar holds a B.Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India, and an M.Eng. Is. Is. degree from the National University of Singapore, Singapore. And obtained PhD degree. Presently he is a Professor at Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Before joining Nirma, he was affiliated with the University of South Australia and the University of Adelaide and has also worked as a Scientist and Associate Scientist at the Defense Science and Technology Organisation, Australia, and the Institute of Infocomm Research, Singapore respectively.
His research interests include computer vision, artificial intelligence, machine learning big data mining and analysis, behavior analysis, multi-camera tracking, and surveillance. He is a member of the program committee of several IEEE conferences and has served as guest editor of the MDPI journal Technology
