Nishad Kumar Paris Paralympic 2024

Nishad is a resident of Baduan village of the Amb sub-division of the Una district of Himachal Pradesh. His father was a farmer. His mother, a state-renowned volleyball player and discus thrower, was his inspiration. At the age of six, his left hand was accidentally cut off by a mower on his family farm. He did his college studies at DV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh. Later he received higher education from Himachal Pradesh University.

I am studying PE at Lovely Professional University. In early 2021, he tested positive for COVID-19. He is supported by Olympic Gold Quest, a sports NGO. At the 2022 Asian Para Games, he won the men’s high jump T47 in Hangzhou, China. Nishad Kumar is an Indian Paralympian. She qualified to represent India in the high jump T47 category at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

He won a silver medal at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo and retained his silver at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris.
