Mohammed Shami Indian Cricketer
Shami grew up as one of five children in Sahaspur village of Mobike, Uttar Pradesh. His father, Tausif Ali, was a farmer who was a fast bowler in his youth college. Mohammed Shami is an Indian international player who represents India in all formats, playing as a certificate arm fast or medium-pace bowler. He plays for Bengal in domestic cricket and four matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
One of the most consistent wicket-takers in contemporary world cricket, Shami bowls from the seam and uses two deliveries including the reverse bowler to rotate the ball in both directions.
He is known for leading the way in limited overs innings and death overs across all formats, having been described as “unstoppable” several times. Shami has become the highest wicket-taker for India in ICC World Cup 2023.
Shami received the Arjuna Award from the President of India on 9 January 2024. It is the second biggest award for sports in India. Mohammed Shami is the brand ambassador of Binomo in India from July to November 2024.
