Destiny Hope Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee, to Leticia “Tish” Jean Cyrus and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. She was born with supraventricular tachycardia, A condition that causes an abnormal resting heart rate. Miley Ray Cyrus is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Considered a pop icon, Cyrus has been recognized for her emerging artistry and image reinvention.
She is the daughter of singer Billy Ray Cyrus and is considered one of the few examples of a child actor having a successful music career as an adult. Cyrus emerged as a teen idol as the lead character in the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana (2006–2011). As Hannah Montana, she achieved success on the Billboard charts with two number-one soundtracks.
In addition to music and acting, Cyrus founded the non-profit Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014, which focuses on the LGBTQ community and youth homelessness and was supported by the web video series Backyard Sessions (2012–2023).
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in November 2024, she revealed that she was working on a visual album Something Beautiful, scheduled for release in 2025, and described working on its title track.
