Mary Fowler Australian Soccer Player
Fowler was born on 14 February 2003 in Cairns, Queensland. He is the third child in a family of five children. Marie is his grandmother’s name, while Boio is his maternal grandmother. Mary Boio Fowler is an Australian professional soccer player who plays for the English Women’s Super League club Manchester City and the Australia national team.
Primarily a forward, she can also play as a midfielder. After being selected for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup squad, Fowler scored the winning goal in a pre-World Cup friendly match against France in July 2023.
Fowler made his W-League debut for Adelaide United in the first game of the 2019–20 season. He scored his first goal in that game in a 2–1 loss against Western Sydney Wanderers. On 4 June 2024, Fowler was named in the Matildas squad that qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics, his second Olympic Games selection.
In May 2024, Mattel announced the creation of a new Barbie doll in the likeness of Fowler, as well as seven other athletes, including Venus Williams.
