Manu Bhaker Paris Olympic 2024

Manu Bhakar was born in Goriya village of Jhajjar district of Haryana. His father Ram Kishan Bhakar is working as a Chief Engineer in the Merchant Navy. By the age of 14, he had mastered the Manipuri martial art Huen Lenglen along with other sports such as boxing, tennis, and skating and had won medals at the National Games in these events.

Manu Bhaker (born 18 February 2002) is an Indian Olympian who competes in shooting. She won a bronze medal in the women’s 10-meter air pistol event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, India’s first medal at those Olympics and became the first female shooter from India to win a medal at any Olympics. She won a gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games at the age of 16 and also became the youngest Indian to win gold at the ISSF World Cup.
