Kolkata Knight Riders Cricket Team

In 2008, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) created a cricket tournament called the Indian Premier League which is based on the Twenty20 format. Eight teams would participate in the inaugural tournament held in April–June of the same year. Teams representing eight different cities of India were put up for auction in Mumbai on 20 February.

It was bought by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s company Red Chillies Entertainment in partnership with actress Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta at a price of ₹3.67 billion ($75.09 million) at the time.

Kolkata Knight Riders (also known as KKR) is a Kolkata franchise of the Indian Premier League. The captain of this team is Shreyas Iyer and the coach is Chandrakant Pandit. Nitish Rana is an important player of the team as well as an icon player.

The motto of this team is Korbo Lodbo Jeetbo Re. Its owners are Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla. If we look at today’s match 2024, today India has only 1 match which will be played between India vs South Africa.
