IMF Deputy Managing Director Geeta Gopinath
Geeta was born in 1971 in Mysore, India. His father T.V. Gopinath is a farmer and entrepreneur from the Kannur district of Kerala. She received her bachelor’s degree from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi (1992) and then her M.A. from the University of Washington (1996). Has received the title of. In 2001 he completed his PhD at Princeton University.
Currently, he is a Professor of Economics at Harvard University. He is also an advisor to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. On 21 July 2016, he was appointed Financial Advisor to the Chief Minister of Kerala by the Left government of Kerala.
Geeta Gopinath is a professor in the Department of Economics at Harvard University and financial advisor to the Chief Minister of Kerala. He has worked on the pricing of all currencies and sovereign debt defaults in Europe.
