At the age of 15, Martín played one season with Itzas during the Clausura 2008 season. He played 13 league matches and scored 6 goals. Martín made his professional debut with his hometown club Mérida in 2013. He made his professional debut with the first team on 13 July 2013 against Delfins del Carmen, where he came on as a replacement for José Luis Pineda in the last seconds of the match. He scored his first league goal on 24 August against Zacatepec where the match ended 2–0.

Henry Josue Martín Mex is a Mexican professional footballer who competes as a forward for Liga MX club América and the Mexico national team. On December 13, 2017, Martin joined Club America. On 7 January 2018, he made his league debut in a 1–0 win against Querétaro. On 3 February, Martín scored the first hat-trick of his career in a 5–1 defeat of Lobos BUP. On 11 October 2018, Martín scored his first goal for Mexico in a 3–2 win over Costa Rica.

Martín was called up by Jaime Lozano as one of three over-age reinforcements for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. He won a bronze medal with the Olympic team. In October 2022, Martín was named in Mexico’s preliminary 31 rackets squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and in November, he was included in the final 26 rackets roster.

In Mexico’s third match of the tournament, played on 30 November, Martín scored a goal against Saudi Arabia, but Mexico failed to advance on goal difference. In June 2023, Martín was named to Mexico’s under-23 junior squad for the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
