Eugenie Bouchard Canadian Tennis Player

Eugene Bouchard was born in Montreal, one of the twins of investment banker Michel Bouchard and Julie Leclair. Bouchard began playing tennis at the age of five and became a member of Tennis Canada’s national training center in Montreal.

He lives in Pali-Badi in the West Mountains, where he attended and graduated from a private girls’ school, And lived on the same street as former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. At the age of 12, he moved to Florida to train with coach Nick Saviano.

Eugenie “Ginny” Bouchard is a Canadian professional tennis player and pickleball player. At the 2014 Wimbledon Championships, she became the first Canadian-born player to represent Canada, reaching the finals of some major singles tournaments and finishing runner-up to Petra Kvitova.

Bouchard also reached the semi-finals of the 2014 Australian Open and 2014 French Open. Following the 2012 Wimbledon Girls title as a junior, she was named WTA Newcomer of the Year at the end of the 2013 WTA Tour. Bouchard received the WTA Most Interesting Player award for the 2014 season and reached her highest world ranking of No. 5, making her the first Canadian tennis player to be ranked in the top 5 in singles.

Bouchard has said that she plans to remain active on the tennis and pickleball professional tours. In 2017 and 2016, Bouchard ranked 10th and 9th on the Forbes list of the world’s highest-paid female athletes, earning $6.2 million in 2017 and $7.1 million in 2016.
