Arantxa Rus Dutch Tennis Player
Arantxa Roos is a Dutch professional tennis player. Her first WTA Tour title was the 2017 Swedish Open doubles event, partnering Quirin Lemoine. She won her first singles title at the 2023 Hamburg Open. Her biggest singles successes to date include defeating world No. 2 Kim Clijsters in the second round of the 2011 French Open, reaching the fourth round at the 2012 French Open, and defeating world No. 5 Samantha Stosur in the third round at the 2012 Wimbledon, Championship. Which also includes reaching the round.
In 2008, Russ won the girls’ singles title at the Australian Open, defeating Jessica Moore in the final. At the end of that year, she became the world’s No. 1 junior player. Following the 2023 French Open, she returned to the top 100 in singles on 12 June 2023. She won her first title by defeating Noma Noa Akugu in the final of the 2023 Hamburg European Open.
At the age of 32, she became the oldest player to become a first-time finalist at a WTA tournament in 17 years and became the first-time champion for the eighth time this season. She was also the oldest player to become a WTA Tour champion for the first time in 40 years.
