Josh Hazlewood Australian Cricketer
Josh Reginald Hazlewood is an Australian cricketer who plays for New South Wales and Australia. He started his career in childhood, at that time he was only 17 years old. He played his first test match against India on 14 December 2014. After this, on 22 June 2010, Hazlewood started his ODI international career and also became the youngest player to play for the Australian cricket team.
Josh Hazlewood bowls right-handed, and has also played for Australia Under-19. Hazlewood was also involved in the 2008 Under-19 World Cup. Hazlewood bowled a total of 7 overs in his first ODI match in which he got 1 wicket for 41 runs. He also made his 20-20 debut on 13 February 2013 and in his first match, he bowled 4 overs and took 1 wicket for 34 runs.
Later, while bowling against England, he bowled his best in 20-20 and also took 4 wickets. In February 2020, in the 2020 IPL auction, he was bought by Chennai Super Kings ahead of the 2020 Indian Premier League. In the 2022 Indian Premier League mega auction, Josh Hazlewood was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for ₹7.75 crore
Hazlewood was selected in Australia’s squad for the 2021–22 Ashes series, where he played only the first Test in Brisbane, taking three wickets and two catches. He was named as the stand-in captain for the rested Pat Cummins during the second ODI against England in November 2022. In May 2024, he was named to Australia’s squad for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup tournament.
