Eddie Redmayne Actor
Edward John David Redmayne was born on 6 January 1982 in Westminster, London. His mother, Patricia (née Burke), runs a moving business, and his father, Richard Redmayne, is a businessman in corporate finance. Edward John David Redmayne OBE is an English actor. He has received numerous awards, including an Academy Award, a Tony Award, a BAFTA Award, and two Olivier Awards.
Redmayne began his professional acting career in West End theater in The Goat, or Who’s Sylvia? (2004), for which he received an Olivier Award nomination, Red (2009–2010), which earned him that award, and Richard II (2011–2012).
He made his Broadway debut in a transfer of Red and earned a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play. He starred as The Emcee in the 2022 West End revival of Cabaret and earned a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He returned to Broadway in 2024, starring in a transfer of Cabaret.
