Tanya Hemant is an Indian badminton player. India’s Tanya Hemant defeated Chinese Taipei’s Tung Siu-Tong in straight games to win the women’s singles title at the Bendigo International 2024 badminton tournament in Victoria, Australia on Sunday. Second seed Tanya Hemant defeated sixth seed and world number 98 Tung Siu-Tong 21-17, 21-17 in the final played at Red Energy Arena Bendigo. This match lasted for 41 minutes.

21-year-old Tanya Hemant, who was ranked 71st in badminton rankings, has now won three international titles after the 2022 India International and 2023 Iran Fajr International. In the Bendigo semi-finals, Tanya defeated world number 106 player Jasleen Hui of Singapore 15-21, 21-18, 21-15 in a match that lasted more than an hour.

In the quarter-finals, the Indian badminton player defeated Yuan Chi Liao of Chinese Taipei 21-7, 21-11. In the round of 16, the Indian shuttler defeated Tsai Hsin-Pei of Chinese Taipei 21-17, 21-10 and in the first round, she defeated Yulin Zhang of Australia 21-12, 21-11.
