2024: World Wushu Championships
The World Wushu Championships (WWC) is an international sports championship organized by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) for the Wushu Taolu and Sanda (Sansho) sports. The tournament has been held every two years since 1991 and is the pinnacle event of the IWUF.
The World Wushu Championships also coincide with the IWUF Congress and various committee meetings. The competition also serves as a qualifying event for the Taolu World Cup and Sanda World Cup.

Objective
IWUF develops Wushu throughout the world, enriches people’s lives physically and mentally, and promotes friendship and understanding among all peoples, free from all forms of discrimination, through the spirit of sport.
Role
- The IWUF’s role as defined by the constitution includes the following objectives:
- To accept and comply with the common fundamental principles of the Olympic Charter and to maintain the Olympic spirit.
To promote and encourage the development and practice of all manifestations of Wushu throughout the world.
