2024: Who Will Become The 21st Chief Minister of Maharashtra?

Senior Maharashtra BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis will take oath as the Chief Minister of the state for the third time today. He will be the 21st Chief of the state. After electing the BJP leader as the party leader on Saturday afternoon, he claimed to form the Nikolai government along with his ally party leaders and working president Eknath Shinde and NCP president Ajit Pawar.

Despite giving a letter of support to the Fadnavis government, Eknath Shinde was confused till late evening whether he would take oath as a minister or not. But unconfirmed sources in BJP say that his conversation with Fadnavis in the evening was positive. He and Ajit Pawar will take oath as Deputy Chief Ministers along with Fadnavis.

When is The Swearing-in Ceremony?

The swearing-in ceremony of the Mahayuti government has been held at Azad Maidan in Mumbai on 5 December evening. At least 2,000 women will attend the swearing-in ceremony. Sons from 22 states including BJP ruled and allied parties will participate in the program. Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah will also be present in the ceremony.
